NEMA Gives Kenyans 30 Days to Scrutinise 25-Storey Nairobi Project
The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has received an environmental impact assessment report for a proposed 25-storey residential development along Ring Road in Westlands, Nairobi, comprising 464 apartments and other amenities. According to an official Gazette notice published on Friday, November 6, the project will feature two basement levels, a ground floor and 25 additional floors if approved. The development, proposed by a private limited company, will include 243 one-bedroom units, 154 two-bedroom apartments, 66 three-bedroom units and one penthouse. The plans also provide for 284 parking spaces, swimming pools, landscaped gardens, children’s play areas and communal sitting spaces.
