GECOL and GIZ discuss training, sustainability and diversifying to renewables
Bashir Al-Marash, Chairman of the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), and his deputy, Munir Aft, held a meeting with representatives from the German agency GIZ in Tripoli yesterday. The meeting, was attended by several of GECOL’s department directors, focused on exploring opportunities for cooperation in developing the energy sector, as well as leveraging German technical and professional expertise. Discussions covered the preparation of technical studies for renewable energy projects, strategies for their development, and their integration into the electrical grid.
