Rundu man arrested over girlfriend’s murder
A man (29) has been arrested in connection with the murder of his girlfriend at Rundu in the Kavango East region. The man was arrested on Friday at Shimpanda village after the police found his girlfriend’s body buried and exhumed her from a shallow burial site in the bushes. Kavango East police deputy commissioner Bonifatius Kanyetu says the deceased, Anagret Mushinga (30) was initially reported missing in October by her family after the suspect allegedly reported her missing, despite knowing he had killed and buried her. “The suspect allegedly assaulted and strangled her to death before burying her in bushes about 800 metres from his workplace,” he says.
