Meghan Markle’s father in court for child sex abuse material
Thomas Markle, the father of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has appeared in court after being charged over the possession of child sex abuse material. Markle was arrested in Florida on Friday morning after the FBI searched two Los Angeles-area storage units he rented for almost 20 years. He will be subject to home detention and electronic monitoring after being released by a United States (US) judge on personal recognisance, the department of justice and US attorney’s office in Central California say. Images published by news outlets alongside reports of the 82-year-old’s arrest appear to show him in handcuffs surrounded by FBI personnel.
