Your body does not need a detox, it needs the right foods
As a Nutritionist, I approach “detox” from biology, not marketing. The body already removes toxins continuously. The liver, kidneys, lungs, skin and gut work together, but specific foods can support these organs and improve metabolic resilience. Cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage contain sulphur compounds and glycosylates that help the liver produce enzymes for processing and eliminating harmful substances. Leafy greens such as spinach and kale supply chlorophyll, vitamins and magnesium that support cellular repair and bile production. Allium vegetables like garlic, onions and leeks provide organosulfur compounds with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
