Gulu embraces brunch culture as Chill & Bite Meatings marks first anniversary
Gulu is set to join Uganda’s growing brunch scene as Chill & Bite Meatings marks its first anniversary with an all-white celebration at Revelation Cottages on Sunday, November 8. The event, organised in partnership with Johnnie Walker, comes amid the growing popularity of brunch as a social activity, with people increasingly opting for daytime gatherings that combine food, music and fashion. Initially popularised in Kampala, brunch culture has gradually spread to other urban centres, including Jinja and Mbarara, creating new spaces for socialising outside the traditional nightlife scene.
