Hamile explosion: Gov't cuts curfew to 10pm–4am as Muntaka visits injured officer
Hamile Township and surrounding communities in Upper West will observe a shorter curfew from Thursday, November 5, the Interior Ministry says. The new hours are 10:00 pm–4:00 am, replacing the previous 6:00 pm–5:00 am restriction. The review cuts the daily restriction in the Lambussie District border town from 11 hours to six, two days after the government imposed a 6:00 pm to 5:00 am curfew following a deadly explosion during a border patrol. The Ministry of the Interior announced the change on Thursday, November 5, in a statement bearing Minister Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak's signature. An Executive Instrument gave effect to the revision, following advice from the National Security Council.
