TraffiTech-GH fines: the real amounts, the only official way to pay, and the codes to ignore

**Motorists across Ghana are sharing conflicting WhatsApp flyers and X posts claiming TraffiTech-GH automated traffic fines start at either GH¢120 or GH¢240, alongside competing shortcodes including `*220#`, `*222#`, `7100#` and `*710*0#`.** Fake payment codes and cloned portals target drivers rushing to beat the 14-day deadline. This guide explains the fines, the official payment process and the shortcodes to avoid. Both figures come from the Road Traffic Regulations, 2026 (L.I. 2519), enacted alongside the Road Traffic (Amendment) Act, 2025 (Act 1153), which took effect on November 1, 2026. The Fines (Penalty Units) Act, 2000 (Act 572) sets the unit used to calculate fines.
