Transport Minister Shahoubi emphasises the ‘‘strategic economic priority’’ of transit trade roads to southern borders
Speaking at the Libya-Italy Business and Investment Forum held in the Misrata Free Zone yesterday, Libya’s Tripoli based Minister of Transport, Mohamed Shahoubi, stressed the importance of transit trade to Libya as a form of economic diversification away from hydrocarbons. Specifically, he stressed the importance of Libya’s Transit Trade Corridors / Roads linking the country’s mediterranean free ports and zones including Misrata Free Zone, Sirte Free Zone, Benghazi’s Julyana free zone, and others, to the southern borders.
