The European Union’s demand for clarification over the deployment of Algerian People’s National Army units in Niger has drawn sharp criticism in Algeria.The deployment, which received parliamentary approval, falls under a bilateral military agreement between two sovereign states and was carried out at the request of the Nigerien authorities.
