Somalia opens first national pavilion at China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai
Mogadishu (HOL) — Somalia has opened its first national pavilion at the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai on Thursday, showcasing agricultural products and investment opportunities as the government seeks to expand exports and strengthen trade relations with China. The pavilion was inaugurated by Somalia’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Jama Mohamed Hassan, alongside Somalia’s Ambassador to China, Dr. Hodan Osman Abdi, during the ninth edition of the international trade exhibition. Somali companies are displaying products including sesame seeds, frankincense and myrrh, while promoting investment opportunities in livestock, fisheries and mineral resources.
